ASO AC Extends Nomination Period for Seat 10 on the ICANN Board of
Directors

The ASO AC has announced today it has extended its deadline for the
nomination period for the selection of seat 10 on the ICANN Board of
Directors.

Nominations will close now on Thursday January 7th 2015 at 23:59 UTC

As a consequence of the nomination period extension the new timeline will
be as follows:

* Nomination Phase   Wednesday 30 September 2015 to Thursday 7 January 2016
* Comment Phase      Friday 8 January 2016 to Thursday 7 April 2016
* Interview phase    Sunday 7 February 2016 to Thursday 7 April 2016
* Selection Process  Friday 8 April 2016 to  Friday 29 April 2016
* Diligence review   Saturday 30 April 2016 to Monday 13 June 2016
* Announcement       Around 13 June 2016

The ICANN Bylaws state that no two directors selected by a Supporting
Organization can come from the same geographic region. Because the ASO AC
selection for Seat 9 is from the ARIN region, nominees for Seat 10 cannot
also come from this region.

All candidates must sign a Letter of Certification declaring that they
are of good character. The selected candidate will undergo an independent
due diligence review by an ICANN contractor, and announcement of the
candidate will follow once this review has been successfully completed.

Community members are invited to submit nominations by email to
nominations2016 [at] aso [dot] icann [dot] org, including the following
information:

The full name of the person being nominated
Contact email address for the person being nominated
Contact telephone number (if available) of the person being nominated
The full name of the person making the nomination
Contact email address for the person making the nomination
Contact telephone number of the person making the nomination
