ARIN is issuing an open call for General Members in good standing to
nominate candidates for three (3) seats on the Board of Trustees and
five (5) seats on the Advisory Council that become open when current
terms expire on 31 December 2009.

The Board of Trustees and Advisory Council election has a Nomination
Committee (NomCom) that is responsible for identifying, recruiting, and
certifying a properly selected slate of candidates to be placed in
nomination before the membership for election. This year’s NomCom
members are: Board of Trustee members Bill Woodcock and Tim Denton,
Advisory Council members Cathy Aronson and Owen Delong, and general
member volunteers Bill Manning, Jonathan Breault and Dr. Richard Martin.
Bill Woodcock is serving as NomCom Chair.

New Board and Advisory Council terms begin 1 January 2010.The three
Board seats opening are as follows: one currently held by Scott Bradner
(which will be filled for a three year term), one formally held by John
Curran until 1 July 2009 when he became ARIN President and CEO (which
will be filled for a three year term), and one presently held by Lee
Howard by appointment (the final year of which will be filled in this
election). The candidate with the most and second-most votes will
receive seats with three year terms, and the candidate who receives the
third most votes will fill the seat with one year remaining. The five
Advisory Council seats opening, all for three year terms, are currently
held by: Leo Bicknell, Stacy Hughes, Lea Roberts, Robert Seastrom, and
Heather Schiller. ARIN Board and Advisory Council incumbents may be
re-elected for consecutive terms.
