[arin-announce] Board Petitions Close; Statements of Support Reminder

In accordance with the Election Guidelines and 2006 calendar of events, 
the petition process for the ARIN Board of Trustees is now closed. ARIN 
received no petition requests; the slate of Board candidates remains the 
same as announced on 7 September.

The complete list of Board, Advisory Council, and Number Resource 
Organization Number Council (NRO NC) candidates, brief biographies, and 
a form to voice support for any candidate are online at:

Designated member representatives (DMR) from ARIN General Members in 
good standing will be asked to vote for two (2) candidates in the Board 
election and five (5) candidates in the Advisory Council
election. Elections will be held online 13-20 October 2006.  DMRs from 
ARIN General Members in good standing will also be asked to vote for one 
(1) candidate in the NRO NC election. The NRO NC election will be held 
online 4-11 October 2006.

ARIN Member Services requires a name and personalized e-mail address be 
on record for the DMR; role accounts are not acceptable. Voter 
eligibility must be established at least 14 calendar days prior to the 
fourth quarter ARIN Members Meeting. Organizations who are not in good 
standing or do not have a valid DMR on file as of 29 September 2006 will 
not be eligible to vote.

Anyone who attends the NANOG 38 meeting in St. Louis may cast a vote 
onsite in the NRO NC election on 10 October. ARIN XVIII Public Policy 
Meeting attendees may vote onsite in the NRO NC election on 11 October.
