[arin-announce] Call for Nominations: ASO AC ARIN Region

In accordance with the ASO Memorandum of Understanding, this is an open
call for nominations from the ARIN region to fill one (1) seat on the ASO
Address Council that becomes vacant with the expiration of Kim Hubbard's
term on December 31, 2003. The elected representative must be willing to
serve a three (3) year term beginning January 1, 2004. In accordance with
ARIN Bylaws Article VI, Section 15, the Board of Trustees is currently
discussing a conflict of interest statement related to ARIN elections and
appointments. The complete list, which may impact ASO AC nomination
eligibility, will be available on ARIN's website at
http://www.arin.net/elections after the July 21 Board meeting.

If you are interested in nominating an individual or if you are interested
in being nominated as a member of the Address Council, fill out the ASO AC
Nomination Form at http://www.arin.net/elections or e-mail the information
below to aso-nominations at arin.net. Nominations will be accepted until
23:59 ET on Monday, September 22, 2003.

Nominations must contain the following information:

* Name of nominee
* Organization
* E-mail address
* Phone Number
* Postal address
* Country of residence
* Biographical information
* Record of serving the Internet community in ARIN's region
* Motivation for nomination (i.e. why the nominee would be a good representative from the
ARIN region)
* Name, organization, and e-mail address of person making nomination (nominator)

All nominees will be contacted via e-mail and/or telephone to verify that
they are willing and able to fulfill a three-year term. If the nominee
cannot be reached, the nomination will be rejected.

Any individual residing within the ARIN service region may be nominated,
with the exception of Regional Internet Registry staff members.
Self-nominations are permitted.
