ARIN Advisory Council Seat Vacated

Jeremy Porter is resigning from the ARIN Advisory Council effective 5 PM
EDT, Monday, August 12, 2002. Jeremy has been a member of the Advisory
Council since its inception in 1998. He will be greatly missed. We wish
him all the best.

As Jeremy's term would have expired at the end of 2003, an additional seat
on the Advisory Council is now open in the current election. Thus, the
candidate receiving the sixth greatest number of votes in this fall's
election will serve out the final year of Jeremy's term.
