Announcement of Contract Awards

As part of the project to administer the /8 domains of the reverse address
space separate from the in-addr.arpa zone, ARIN has established
contractual relations with two vendors to provide two independent networks
of servers for these domains.  ARIN had asked for bids last year and had
received several proposals.  ARIN has decided on multiple awards to
provide robustness to the system and to not have to rely on one vendor for
this critical Internet service.  Accordingly, ARIN announces that it has
established service level agreements with Nominum and VeriSign.
Engineering work will begin in the near future to migrate the /8 domains
to these suites of servers.
