ARIN Board of Trustees and Advisory Council Nominations Sought

An open call is issued for ARIN members to recommend nominees to fill two
(2) vacant seats for the upcoming term for the Board of Trustees and four
(4) open seats for the Advisory Council. The open Trustee seats are
currently held by Scott Bradner and John Curran. The Advisory Council
members whose terms are expiring are Hilary Orman, Jeremy Porter and
David Whipple. The fourth open seat is due to the resignation of Michael
Dillon in the later half of this year. Please note that Trustees and
Council members may serve successive terms.

All ARIN member representatives are invited to participate in the
nomination and election process. Nominations must be received by Midnight
EST August 30th in order to be eligible.

Board of Trustee Nominations

A Nominating Committee has been formed to aid in the Board of Trustees
election process. This Committee will review the list of proposed
nominees and select two or more candidates for each open Board seat to be
presented to the membership. The six-member Nominating Committee
consists of two volunteers each from the Board, Advisory Council, and the
general membership, and includes Scott Marcus, David Conrad, Bill Darte,
Steve Corbato, John Brown, and Pete Schroebel.

Nominations for the Board may also be made without the Nominating
Committee's participation by presenting a petition signed by 15% of the
total ARIN membership. Current ARIN membership totals 1,130; therefore
170 members will be required to send statements of support to
elections at arin.net in order for the petitioning candidate to be
nominated.

Advisory Council Nominations

All nominations made for the four open Advisory Council seats will be
presented to the membership to be voted upon.

Nomination Process

All nominations should be sent to elections at arin.net and should include
the following information:

Name of Nominee
Organization
Email Address
Phone Number
Whether nominated for the Board of Trustees or the Advisory Council

For a description of the qualifications for the Board of Trustees and
Advisory Council, and for further information regarding the election
process and time line, please visit ARIN's web site at:

Your participation is encouraged.
