This policy proposal was previously discussed on this mailing list and at the ARIN XIII Public Policy Meeting. Based on the feedback received from those discussions, the text of this policy proposal has been revised. ARIN welcomes feedback and discussion about this policy proposal in the weeks leading to the ARIN Public Policy Meeting in Reston, Virginia scheduled for October 20-21, 2004. According to the ARIN Internet Resource Policy Evaluation Process the Advisory Council will evaluate policy proposals after the Public Policy Meeting. The feedback and discussion of policy proposals on the Public Policy Mailing List will be included in the AC's evaluation. Hosts within the administrative control of a single organization should still use private address space in accordance with RFC-1918 and RFC-2050. Private networks may receive global IP's for private Interconnectivity if they have already used private IP space in accordance with RFC-1918 and RFC-2050 and any further use of private IP space would result in network conflicts.
