The suggestion and response text are provided below. This suggestion is now closed and is available at: https://www.arin.net/participate/acsp/suggestions/2015-4.html Regards, Communications and Member Services American Registry for Internet Numbers (ARIN) **** Suggestion: * Description: WHOIS info does not allow to put unique names on ASN's that are part of a range assignment. As we prepare to roll out a BGP-LU product it would be super helpful on several of our range allocations if we could place the name of the actual metro area being served. Value to Community: reflect more accurate and useful information in the database. *Response: * Though it is not currently possible to identify separate AS number names for AS numbers inside of a grouping of AS numbers in a single registration, ARIN will accept requests to split AS range registrations into individual AS number registration records to make unique AS naming possible.Requests to split an AS range registration can be made through "Ask ARIN" within ARIN Online or an email to hostmaster at arin.net. Because ARIN can provide this service to customers, no further action is necessary and this suggestion will be closed. ** -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
