The suggestion and response text are provided below. This suggestion is now closed and is available at: https://www.arin.net/participate/acsp/suggestions/2013-7.html Regards, Communications and Member Services American Registry for Internet Numbers (ARIN) **** Suggestion: * Next conference tshirts should have pink unicorn ponies on them. Please. *Response:* Thank you for your suggestion, numbered 2013.7 upon confirmed receipt. While we happily acknowledge that a pink unicorn is the ultimate pony, we like to make sure our meeting giveaway is branded for the individual meeting so it is unlikely that we will have one on the shirt for ARIN 32. However, we will keep this suggestion in the idea file and see if we can find a way to incorporate them in some other way in the future. Thank you for the idea and for participating in the ARIN suggestion process. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Given that changes to ARIN's mission statement require Board review and approval, staff will review the suggestion with the ARIN Board during their next scheduled teleconference likely in May but possibly in June 2013. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... I would suggest giving non-staff multiple options including Smartphone support, hardware tokens, and possibly SMS backup. The system should be a "one to many" in cases with individuals having multiple ORG's. *Response:* We agree that enhanced authentication options would be an added benefit to security-conscious ARIN members. We will look into various methods and will propose a solution at the fall 2013 member meeting that can be prioritized accordingly. During development we will likely allow both a persistent (static) as well as a dynamic PO # according to each organization's specific needs. We will put this into the development queue as soon as possible, noting that we have a couple of significant development efforts underway for the next few months. Therefore it may be several months before we are able to move this into implementation. This suggestion will remain open. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... It would be good for ARIN to demonstrate their leadership in the Internet technical community and sign their forward DNS zone, arin.net. As an example both Lacnic and RIPE have signed their forward zones. If this means changing DNS registrars, then please do so. Thank you. *Response:* We will add this additional feature to a planned upgrade to our existing DNSSEC signing services and roll out signed forward zones that ARIN is authoritative for by Q2 of 2014. The security model that ARIN Online employs administers security at the user level as opposed to the organizational level. In hindsight, while this model served well to protect organizations in cases where ARIN Online users are associated with multiple organizations, it does not provide the flexibility in allowing access for all contacts to see tickets for a given organization. I believe your suggestion is a valid one for ARIN to strongly consider for a future release. As such we will evaluate the effort and schedule it appropriately with other priorities. Once scheduled, we will note as such on ARIN's Planned Functionality webpage as well as informing you of its priority. This suggestion will remain open until implemented. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:
