On the ip address 81.91.40.158 there are constant attacks DNS, the addresses: 174.127.93.135 198.144.120.85 198.144.121.89 199.243.65.249 Please take action. Thank you. *Response:* In regards to your report of network abuse, please see the ARIN Network Abuse page at https://www.arin.net/abuse.html. While it may appear in some Internet tools that ARIN is a source of network abuse directed at you or your networks, this is not the case. Many current software programs designed to detect network abuse are configured to query only one of the five RIR Whois databases for identification purposes. If the software is unable to find an exact match, it may return results indicating ARIN is the source of the abuse. However, this usually means that the software has failed to query the other Whois databases. If this happens, you may wish to query the ARIN Whois database directly for further information. The web version of Whois is available at http://whois.arin.net/ui. As the American Registry for Internet Numbers is a Regional Internet Registry (RIR), we have no authority or ability to directly address any issues related to network abuse. For resolution of the issue you referenced, please contact the organization or Internet Service Provider (ISP) registered as being associated with the relevant IP addresses. Thank you. The suggestion and response text are provided below. This suggestion is now closed and is available at: https://www.arin.net/participate/acsp/suggestions/2012-16.html Regards, Communications and Member Services American Registry for Internet Numbers (ARIN) **** Suggestion: * I am a college student majoring in Information Systems Security, and one of our projects is to use the resources of your whoi-is service to determine the IP addresses of 3 universities' and find out if your service can determine the geography of the specific IP addresses (with accuracy). My question is how do I do this? *Response:* Thank you for contacting us regarding Whois. As you may know, ARIN's Whois service gives contact and registration information for IP addresses, autonomous system numbers (ASN), organizations or customers that are associated with these resources, and related Points of Contact (POC). It doesn't include information on domain names or military networks. We provide a web interface to Whois data at http://whois.arin.net/ui/ - using the search box in the upper-right part of the screen, you can search for specific IP addresses and organizations and get back information regarding the networks and organizations associated with those Internet number resources. Actual geographic locations of where these IP addresses are used are not part of the dataset in Whois and ARIN does not track or provide such data. Documentation on how to use the Whois service is provided at: https://www.arin.net/resources/whoisrws/whois_api.html I hope this information proves helpful. As this is not something within the scope of this suggestion process, this suggestion is now closed.
