from the sale must be used for non-profit purposes.  This is the case of what
happened in the sale of several of the NSF Regional networks back in the

So in a way both points of view are correct; ARIN should think about what
happens if such resources move from non-profit to a for-profit if there is a
distinction in policy.  However the proceeds (the money) of the value created
by those resource will and must by law transfer to another non-profit entity,
however the resource itself can transfer to a for-profit. </span></font>
