The RIRs run many databases, most of which have nothing to do
with whois. It really should say:

         ...published in the whois directory.

This avoids specifying the mechanism since SWIP and RWHOIS
may not be the only mechanisms any more, and if the whois
directory is defined in the NRPM, the above phrase is
clear and concise.
