If you want to do benchmarking tests in your lab network then you can use
2001:0002::/48, which has been assigned specifically for this purpose.

If you just want to do some private development work then you can randomly
assign yourself a /48 from FD00::/7 as per RFC 4193.

If you wanted to do some connectivity tests but didn't want to pay money for
IPv6 transit then you can get a free tunnel from plenty of tunnel brokers.
Tunnels are not perfect or native but they work.

None of these methods even require you to sign a contract. That is how easy
it is to get IPv6 address space to run some tests from.
