[arin-ppml] Apology requested from Christopher Mettin and theGymnasium Querfurt High School

The actual domain of the Public Root is public-root.com. So they wouldn't
need any publicroot.org.

And considering that there is a difference between the Public Root (Ltd.)
and PublicRoot Consortium, whatever a consortium is, and the fact that there
are sold WHOIS information on there and the contact mail address shown on
this website is a private home address, I would say that last one is a
little basement project by Joe Baptista.

This website says also that the Public Root was created in 2005 what is not
true, it existed already in the 1990s and is working with INAIC since 2004.
So the real domain public-root.com has been already registered for years
before this faked site showed up on the web.

Not sure about other areas of the world, but in the US, it is quite common
to:
Have a consultant come in to do a assessment/design of an internal or public
network, including registering domains, because the client simply doesn't
understand or doesn't want to do it themselves. (Not sure if this is the
case, as I don't really know much about public root at all)

It's also quite common here for, when people (consultants or employees) walk
out after uncovering illegal activities, for the company to consider them
'fired' under whatever policy they feel justified using.

I can also speak from personal experience that almost all consultants I've
dealt with get an internal email address, if nothing else for security
reasons. Why send information to your consultant and have it go off to some
other mail server when it may contain sensitive information.

That's my .02 on the subject. I don't think there's really any proof of
misrepresentation, from my point of view, all of it could be explained by
typical consulting work and a disgruntled company.

Now where's that ignore thread option......

He was fired in 2005, whatever he worked as for INAIC.

But anyone can register any domain. And according to the domain WHOIS, he
registered the domain himself:

So if he was just a consultant, why does he own the domain of the company he
worked for. That makes me believe he this is not the official domain of the
Public Root.

"the miss-identification as employee of the Public Root, a registered
British company (see his email address for that)."

I do not feel that he misidentified himself, See point 2 of his request for
an apology

2) I was never an employee of the Public-Root. I was a consultant since
2003. And I was not fired. I walked out along with other consultants because
of the criminal activity uncovered by me - being mainly the embezzlement of
funds, money laundering and tax evasion by senior executive staff

As for his E-mail address, being employed by an ISP that provides E-mail
hosting, I know first hand that anyone, anywhere can request whatever
username they would like for an E-mail address (providing the limitations of
the policies set forth by the provider.) There are, however, limitations on
domains that used, or squatted on I.E. anycelebrityname.com usually can't be
acquired by just any user, without providing identification/ authorization
to act on that celebrity's behalf.

And in the words of Forest Gump

"that's all I really got to say about that"

Everything I said about Joe Baptista entirely true and confirmed by
evidences and statements by several other people. I hereby request to
dismiss Joe Baptista from the ARIN mailing list for the falsification of
documents and the miss-identification as employee of the Public Root, a
registered British company (see his email address for that).

We received a dozen emails a day in September from Joe Baptista, I see no
point why this should not be called spamming.

The clarify, we did not buy a TLD that we know won't ever be accessible by
everyone (except all Internet users queried the Public Root for DNS
resolution). The TLD was given to us for educational purposes and in return
to open the TLD registration to other people on our site.

Further, Public Root, as a British company, and INAIC, a New York-based
company, exist and full-fill the service they offer. Their TLD and root
services are widely known as alternative, even Wikipedia has a section about
them on their alternative roots articles. So far this cannot be called a
scam, rather Joe Baptista is the spam ignoring Canadian court orders.

For all the times this global network shall exist, the World shall have
knowledge about the activities of the Internet terrorist Joe Baptista.

Subject: Apology requested from Christopher Mettin and the Gymnasium
Querfurt High School

Dear Christopher and ARIN community:

I am requesting a public apology from you Christopher Mettin and your
organization the Gymnasium Querfurt High School for calling me an Internet
terrorist, a liar and other libelous, slanderous and defamatory statements
made by you in a public forum against me.

Also Christopher please do not jump the gun and make this decision on your
own. Kindly consult your supervisor and principle with respect to my request
and take the time to show them my request as well as the statements made by
you on behalf of your school against me.

For the record I will now respond to the allegations made against me by Mr.
Mettin.

1) I am not an "Internet terrorist". This claim by Mr. Mettin below is not
only false but seriously libelous, slanderous and defamatory.

2) I was never an employee of the Public-Root. I was a consultant since
2003. And I was not fired. I walked out along with other consultants because
of the criminal activity uncovered by me - being mainly the embezzlement of
funds, money laundering and tax evasion by senior executive staff.

3) I never attacked Christopher's Gymnasium Querfurt High School. This claim
is also false, libelous, slanderous and defamatory. I did attempt to email
senior staff and also called by phone but was unable to get in touch with
anyone except Mr. Mettin. I therefore have no idea if school staff know what
Mr. Mettin is up to as I have been unable to contact a responsible adult at
the school.

4) Mr. Mettin's claims that the PublicRoot Consortium does not exist are
false. The PublicRoot Consortium is organized as an unincorporated trust in
Canada.

5) Mr. Mettin's claims below that his schools only involvement with the
people who run the INAIC.com web site was to be "assigned a (top-level)
domain by a company affiliated with the Public Root Ltd." is false. The
top-level domain the Gymnasium Querfurt High School purchased from them is
GQNET - a copy of the whois for this domain is attached at the end of this
message as Appendix A.

But as members here have pointed out Mr. Mettin's forgot to mention that the
Gymnasium Querfurt High School also sells TLDs for these shell companies and
non existent organizations.

6) Mr. Mettin's claims that my actions resulted in the shut down of a
company are partially true. My actions resulted in the business failure of
at least three companies and the investigation of a number of individuals
for criminal acts being tax evasion and money laundering. Some individuals
involved in these investigations have settled with the Dutch tax
authorities.

We also had the full support of the Turkish Government and SITA, as well as
a number of other influential people, organization and countries. That
support evaporated when I when public and blew the whistle.

As a result of my actions fewer people ended up loosing their money in this
scam which was my intention.

7) Mr. Mettin's claims that I lie are also false, libelous, slanderous and
defamatory.

regards
joe baptista

A few months ago my school has been attacked by this guy. He did already
make an entire company shut down. His best weapons are lies.

All that started when he was fired by the Public Root in 2005. We have been
assigned a domain by a company affiliated with the Public Root Ltd. and so
we became a major target to him. He sends his emails from a domain
publishing a website of a "PublicRoot Consortium" which does not exist. The
contact address of this consortium is a private home in an Ontarian suburb.
Sending emails using this domain he tries to make people believe he is an
official employee of the Public Root.

The IP addresses shall be in no way used with any root system.
