A quick look at RFC1338, RFC1519, etc. will verify that. As I have stated before, I do not speak for my employer. Quite the contrary since I feel my comments here reflect an advocacy for the large network operations community that at times is contrary to a vendor's interests (the best thing that could happen to a router vendor would be a return to the replace-the-core-every-2-or-3-years heyday of the 90s); they are based on my first-hand experience in that community from 1988 to 2001. --Vince
