At least one candidate does not appear to reside in the region. There doesn't appear to be rules around residency within the ARIN region, unlike other RIR's. Is this accurate? No - those who volunteer for a position are free to disclose such to the community if they so desire, but neither ARIN nor the Nominations Committee does so. > At least one candidate does not appear to reside in the region. There doesn't appear to be rules around residency within the ARIN region, unlike other RIR's. Is this accurate? That is correct; there is no requirement to be (or be associated with) a ARIN Member nor a requirement to have residency within the region to serve on the ARIN Board or ARIN AC. There are prohibitions on serving in certain capacities in other organizations due to potential for conflict of interest; see Thanks! /John John Curran President and CEO ARIN From jcurran at arin.net Mon Sep 8 16:57:42 2014 From: jcurran at arin.net (John Curran) Date: Mon, 8 Sep 2014 20:57:42 +0000 Subject: [arin-discuss] Initial Slate of Candidates Announced for 2014 ARIN Elections In-Reply-To: <6A9F6F05-6FF8-4071-9E8F-F416CD269FD9@akamai.com> References: <6A9F6F05-6FF8-4071-9E8F-F416CD269FD9@akamai.com> Message-ID: <5C1178E3-6687-4069-9F57-318A2F2FAF0C@corp.arin.net> On Sep 8, 2014, at 4:28 PM, Hannigan, Martin wrote: > Greetings ARIN: > > I'm not sure who owns arin-announce-owner at arin.net but you are, in fact, incorrect. Martin - It seems to be an automatic reply in response to posts to arin-discuss (I received one as well a moment ago) I'll hunt down the errant auto-reply; please disregard in the meantime as arin-discuss is definitely open for posting and discussion. The panel has now completed the production of the "ARIN Fee Structure Review Report" and it is attached for consideration by the ARIN community. There will be community consultation to consider potential next steps for the ARIN Fee Schedule; that consultation will be opened after the Fee Structure Discussion which will take place during the ARIN 34 meeting on Friday morning 10 October 2014. I would like to thank all of the panel members for their excellent efforts in producing this final report - ARIN Board Finance Committee Members: Paul Anderson (Chair) Aaron Hughes Bill Woodcock John Curran At-Large Members: Tim St. Pierre Steve Feldman Brandon Ross Daniel Alexander Michael Sinatra Thank you all!
