In addition to the information we have received from the trial, there remain a number of questions that ARIN has posed to the community to allow for us to get a better understanding of how WhoWas would be used as a production service. Community feedback is a vital component to the development of the WhoWas service, and will have a direct impact on decisions regarding the scope and use of this project. If you have an interest in this service and its future development please respond to the following question via email to arin-consult at arin.net: * Why do you want access to WhoWas information and how do you plan to use it? * How often do you think you would use the WhoWas service? * What information would you expect to receive in response to a WhoWas request? * Would a restful interface be useful for you to automate history requests? * Do you have any concerns about the Terms of Use for the WhoWas trial? Are there any items in it that are blockers for you as a potential user of this service? If you would prefer to share your thoughts anonymously, please visit: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/WhoWasService The ARIN consultation mailing list is open to the public. You can subscribe to this mailing list at: http://lists.arin.net/mailman/listinfo/arin-consult. If you have any questions, please contact us at info at arin.net. The current process is documented at: https://www.arin.net/participate/acsp/index.html The proposed changes, available at: https://www.arin.net/participate/acsp/community_consult/revised_acsp_draft.pdf, involve only Part B. The Suggestion Process. The primary change calls for queuing of all suggestions determined by staff to have merit (that can not be implemented quickly) until each ARIN Public Policy and Members Meeting. Two weeks in advance of each meeting the community will be asked, via a mailing list and/or survey, to discuss the merits of each suggestion and to rank them in order of desired implementation. ARIN believes this is a more transparent and equitable way to broaden community involvement in suggestions. This approach will aid ARIN in scheduling for implementations to coincide with ongoing strategic objectives. The community's constructive thoughts on the revised ACSP are welcome during this thirty-day review period. Please provide comments to arin-consult at arin.net. The work will take place from 8:00 AM until approximately 12:00 PM EST. ARIN users will experience interruption of three external services while this maintenance is performed. For the duration, you will not be able to log in to your ARIN Online account. Any mail sent to Registration Services will be queued and not immediately acknowledged. Additionally, transactions submitted via ARIN?s RESTful Provisioning service will be rejected with an outage error. Once the systems are back online, you will regain use of your ARIN Online account and queued mail will be processed. You will need to resubmit any RESTful calls sent during the outage so they can be processed. Thank you for your patience and cooperation. NRPM version 2012.1 is effective 30 January 2012 and supersedes the previous version. NRPM 2012.1 contains the implementation of the following policies: ARIN-2011-3: Better IPv6 Allocations for ISPs ARIN-2011-8: Combined M&A and Specified Transfers ARIN-2011-10: Remove Single Aggregate requirement from Specified Transfer In September we reported that 2011-3 had been partially implemented to allow IPv6 allocations up to and including /24s. 2011-3 is now fully implemented to allow larger allocations in accordance with the policy. 2011-3 was adopted by the ARIN Board of Trustees on 10 June 2011. 2011-8 and 2011-10 were adopted on 16 December 2011. On 4 November 2011 ARIN concluded its consultation with the community with regards to the Legacy Registration Services Agreement (LRSA) 3.0, the first fundamental rewrite of the LRSA introduced in 2007. The revisions found in version 3.0 were based on the information and feedback obtained during the execution of over 500 LRSAs as well as community feedback received during the community consultation referenced above. ARIN has simplified the LRSA language in order to more clearly identify and describe the respective rights, duties and obligations of ARIN and Legacy Holders. In addition, edits were made to narrow the differences between our Registration Services Agreement (?RSA?) and our LRSA. These changes also provide clarity with respect to conditions when ARIN will seek resource utilization from the Legacy holder and conditions when ARIN may revoke resources. Information regarding the differences between LRSA 2.2 and LRSA 3.0 can be found along with additional details and answers to many of the typical questions that ARIN receives about the Legacy RSA in the Frequently Asked Questions (?FAQ?) at: https://www.arin.net/resources/legacy/index.html#faq The previous version of the LRSA, version 2.2, will remain on our website for comparison and review for the next 90 days. Please feel free to compare the two documents and observe the updates and modifications that have been incorporated into LRSA 3.0. To view Version 3.0 of the Legacy RSA, please visit: https://www.arin.net/resources/agreements/legacy_rsa.pdf Anyone needing further information about the LRSA can call the Financial Services Help Desk at +1-703-227-9886 or send an email to billing at arin.net. Nothing in this announcement alters or otherwise modifies any terms of the LRSA.
