The Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) is contemplating changes in the way the RFC-Editor function is implemented. There is an initial draft proposal, available at: http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-klensin-rfc-independent-02.txt In order to foster discussion on a process for fair and appropriate approval of independent submissions to the RFC series, the Internet Architecture Board (IAB) has created a public mailing list. Interested individuals are invited to join this mailing list and participate. https://www1.ietf.org/mailman/listinfo/independent Regards, Member Services American Registry for Internet Numbers
