At the direction of the ARIN Board of Trustees, on 31 December 2006,
the waiver of the initial fee for the transfer of Internet number
resources will expire. The relevant Board of Trustees meeting minutes
are available at:

ARIN will continue to waive the initial fee for any transfer that was
submitted in 2006, regardless of when the transfer was approved or
processed. However, following existing procedures, ARIN staff will
close any tickets that has not been responded to after ninety (90)
days and transfer approvals will remain valid for sixty (60) days.

For approved transfer requests received on or after 1 January 2007,
the initial transfer fee is $250 USD.

On 16 November 2006, the ARIN Board of Trustees, based on the
recommendation of the Advisory Council and noting that the Internet
Resource Policy Evaluation Process had been followed, adopted the
following policy proposal:

2006-2: Micro-allocations for Internal Infrastructure

This policy proposal has been incorporated into version 2006.3 of the
ARIN Number Resource Policy Manual (NRPM) which is effective 20 December
2006. NRPM version 2006.3 supersedes previous versions. See Appendix A
of the NRPM for information regarding changes to the manual.

On 30 August 2006, the ARIN Board of Trustees, based on the
recommendation of the Advisory Council and noting that the Internet
Resource Policy Evaluation Process had been followed, adopted the
following policy proposal:

2005-9: 4-Byte AS Number

Per the implementation schedule contained in the policy (NRPM Section
5.1), commencing 1 January 2007, ARIN will process applications that
specifically request 32-bit AS Numbers. Templates will be available
online and they may be submitted prior to 1 January 2007 but will not
be processed until 2 January 2007 due to the holiday schedule.
