According to the ASO MoU geographic diversity rules, this vacancy must be filled with a nominee from Europe, Africa, or Latin America. However, nominations from the North American portion of the ARIN region and from the Asia/Australia/Pacific region are permitted as these will be included on the list used to fill any other vacancies that might arise before the next scheduled election. This meeting will be hosted by APNIC alongside APNIC's Open Policy Meeting, and is open to all parties with an interest in the activities of the ASO.
